Good products don't just look good
Salam! I'm Moayad, a user experience designer based in Brooklyn. I help businesses meet exceed their customers' expectations.
About me
When I enrolled in the TheFutur -a branding agency that helps businesses craft stories- I realized how stories are the secret sauce that makes customers attached to a certain brand. But I always wondered, how exactly do brands tell a story? Is it through a novel maybe? Nope, it's through interactions. To explore the science of interactions, I completed the Google UX Course and started designing wireframes, prototypes, and digital products using Figma. I then integrated multiple research methods to develop a tailored experience for the target audience to interact with and, most importantly, enjoy it! I'm proud to say that I worked with Manarah in increasing the customer lifetime value with a smooth customer journey, and I helped Maharat in improving their students' overall learning experience. Currently, I'm studying Computer Science at New York University, one of the top 30 universities in the world, and I'm looking forward to making your brand's story a memorable one!

Enhancing the Hajj Experience
The paper on enhancing the Hajj experience features creative solutions to make the pilgrimage smoother for millions of Muslims. By talking with experienced pilgrims and using design thinking, three main ideas were developed: sleeping capsules in the holy mosque for rest, drones to quickly deliver food and supplies, and big screens with real-time updates for easy navigation. These ideas show a strong grasp of user needs and a talent for practical, user-friendly designs, highlighting the skills and innovation in experience design.

Project
The eGlove
The eGlove is a wearable mouse; it connects to your computer and has the same functionalities as a mouse (scrolling, clicking, dragging), but the difference here is the experience. It's an upgrade to our interaction with computers (HCI). My role was to ensure the best user experience by identifying innovative approaches for the glove’s functionality, aesthetics, accessibility, and more. I also designed a brand named JAM (Jayden, Adonis, Moayad).

By conducting in depth assessments based on previous experience with usability principles I was able to highlight areas of concern such as navigation difficulties, design inconsistencies, and mistakes in organizing the website’s information architecture.

Whe Nudging Turns into Manipulation
I have explored the concept of “nudging” in behavioral economics as popularized by Nobel Prize winner Richard Thaler and Harvard professor Cass Sunstein. Nudging involves subtle adjustments to choice architecture to influence people's behavior in predictable ways without restricting their freedom of choice. As a product designer and UX designer, I integrate these principles to enhance user engagement and create more intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.

Testimonials
I had the opportunity to mentor Moayad during NEOM's Young Leadership Program. He was tasked to give a presentation on a topic outside his comfort zone. He did a spectacular job at presenting the topic using storytelling, metaphor, humor, all in a simple way and that was easy to understand and follow. While Moayad is very strong technically in design, he also has high interpersonal skills and would excel in a team environment where he has the potential to inspire, motivate and persuade others with his out-of-the-box ideas. I am glad to have met and mentored a bright talent like Moayad.- Carine Bouery, Ex-Vestas Marketing Lead MENA
What sets Moayad apart is not only his enthusiasm but also his research skills and analytical approach. On multiple occasions, Moayad brought real-world entrepreneurial insights to class discussions around human-centered design, such as detailing how companies like Trader Joe's or Sephora became successful. This ability to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world examples shows Moayad's depth of understanding and analytical skills.Moayad is also a remarkably creative person. I still remember when Moayad went above and beyond by creating an animation video as part of the “Storytelling” module. This innovative approach demonstrates Moayad's commitment to delivering information in compelling ways.Beyond his academic achievements, Moayad has a wonderful sense of humor and compassion. These qualities not only make Moayad a pleasure to have in class but also contribute to his ability to connect with others in a professional setting. I wholeheartedly recommend Moayad for this internship, and I am confident he will be a valuable contributor to any future project.- Prof. Heidi Brant, Department of Technology, Management & Innovation at NYU Tandon School of Engineering
Moayad makes me feel lazy.- Tracy Rahime, Advisor at SABIC
